We seem closer to the Black City and we are awake instead of dreaming, but in DAA I was startled at how close we were too compared to the Fade in DAO. Also, she should have been getting really worried because according to the Chant, walking in the Fade physically is forbidden by the Maker and is likely to have really nasty results based on the last time in was done, but apparently she took it all in her stride, as do all the Chantry stalwarts when you get back.
