Red Skelton has always been one of my favorites, and Miss Powell's dancing is fabulous. She thinks that she is working for the US Government, but fails to see why she would be involved.

"i was ready to ignore everything but dorsey and sinatra performing in a movie but i actually liked the story and found eleanor kind of charming (i normally can't stand her)"I feel like Matahari. Ship Ahoy. Fire at will and sink that enemy to entertainment! The Lahr/Powell/Rich poolside number is also great funI'm such a b***h for Frank Sinatra that I watched this movie because he sings in it a few times with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, which is of course the band that allowed him to get his (first) big break. And the reactions by Bert Lahr are priceless. Also fair warning, I be a bit biased because the movie also features Virginia O'Brien who I'm madly in love with!

The song numbers are great, with a soundtrack that features Tommy Dorsey and his orchestra and also features a young good looking singer you're sure to recognize, Frank Sinatra!I don't usually care for Red Skelton, but he's tolerable here and Eleanor Powell is great as always. Red Skeleton and Bert Lahr weave some hilarious chemistry together while, the main attraction is watching the sensational Eleanor Powell dance in several numbers. Crime With Eleanor Powell, Red Skelton, Bert Lahr, Virginia O'Brien. Trailer JustWatch. ... who is also on the ship and falls for her. Not too bad, but Red is better in: I DOOD IT, YELLOW CAB MAN, or THE FULLER BRUSH MAN.A musical, spy rom-com is something I never knew I wanted.
