As long as you know how to balance yourself, you’ll do fine here.There are many unique clubs to join and sports you can try out for! The fact that Riordan is all-boys, means that the instruction targets specifically how they learn and the distractions faced at a co-ed school don't exist. From intricate lab experiments to beautiful theatre productions, you can see that the teachers care and all the students are admittedly extremely dedicated to their work. All of my teachers felt very closed off to me and only one ever asked me if I was doing alright which lead to me breaking down in tears because I felt like a failure at the school compared to my peers.I do not agree with many of their academic policies and it seems very stacked against the students under the guise of "a rigorous learning experience". They are willing to come to school early or stay later in order to help their student with any questions. Facilities here are very well maintained and kept in excellent condition.

One admitted she was crushing our dreams by giving low grades. Everything from the Teachers to the schools facility are great. The perks of living in a wealthy school district were plenty: elaborate arts resources/trips, highly educated teachers, funding for a plethora of extracurriculars, etc. We have an extremely wide variety of activities on campus, making it possible for every student to connect with others with similar interests. In the past, some of the office ladies in were extremely disrespectful to you but it seems this year, those ladies were replaced with much better people. I personally enjoy sports over academics, so this school has been a unique experience, as I was new to the school my junior year. I never felt like my academic progress was hindered by a lack of resources or teachers. It's a very fun, safe atmosphere, and you really get to enjoy the diversity of the school. We recently opened our new Performing Arts centre which has an extremely large main stage and proscenium, with a black box right next to it for smaller shows. The teachers are nurturing and caring. EB gave them a rich, multi-cultural education that went beyond the curriculum insomuch as the student community is abundantly diverse, from myriad countries and backgrounds. Teachers are very welcoming and the students are also very acceptive! The student body is also very diverse. The teachers are highly qualified, for the most part, and encourage learning through experience and the outside world. The school has a lot of funding and is able to provide great opportunities. However, the only complaint I have is the food. I have found that I am not really missing social events as I can attend the events at any of the other schools in my districts, and have found a very close knit niche of friends to spend my days with. They were so quirky!There were some horrible teachers. As far as academics and sports the school is very competitive. This can be very isolating for those that do not fit into this extremely out of touch reality, but parents send their children here because this school prepares their students extremely well for college.
Just remembering them brings a smile to my face. You’ll meet all the right people and gain a meaningful experience.Lynbrook Highschool is a school with great academics and activities. Of course, you will find teachers that most people dislike.
